Experienced UX/UI Manager to support the Green Energy Transition

We are seeking an experienced UX/UI Manager to lead our design team and drive the creation of exceptional user experiences across our digital products. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on design expertise to shape our product vision and mentor team members.
Nordic RCC is a fast-developing company providing regional power system planning data and security analysis to support the national Transmission System Operators of Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark - to ensure the efficient operation of the Nordic Power System and high security of power supply at any time.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor a team of UX/UI designers, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities
- Establish clear goals, priorities, and performance metrics for the design team
- Manage resource allocation and workload distribution across multiple projects
- Conduct regular design reviews and team meetings to ensure quality and consistency
Design Strategy & Execution
- Develop and maintain comprehensive design systems and guidelines
- Drive user research initiatives and translate findings into actionable design solutions
- Oversee the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
- Ensure consistency in user experience across all digital touchpoints
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product Management to align design strategy with business objectives
- Work closely with Engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of designs
- Present design solutions to stakeholders and defend design decisions
- Facilitate workshops and design thinking sessions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field
- 5+ years of UX/UI design experience
- 2+ years of team management experience
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design process
- Expert knowledge of design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Experience with design systems and component libraries

- Experience with usability testing and research methodologies

- Prototypes: Building simplified versions of a working feature or product to investigate problems and validate solutions
- Research: Collecting and analyzing inputs such as behavioral data and customer feedback
- Testing: Examining whether solutions are working as intended
- Visual design: Understanding how elements like colors, font, images, and layout impact user experience
- Wireframes: Designing blueprints that demonstrate how a solution works before displaying how it will look
