The Nordic Regional Coordination Centre (RCC) plays a vital role in supporting the national Transmission System Operators (TSOs) across Finland, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. Its primary mission is to ensure the efficient functioning and utilization of the Nordic power system while maintaining a high level of power supply security at all times. Located in Copenhagen, the Nordic RCC is one of six such centers in Europe and is jointly owned by the four electricity TSOs in the region: Fingrid, Statnett, Svenska Kraftnät, and Energinet.

Job describtion

Reporting to the Head of IT Infrastructure & Security, and in close collaboration with CISO, the business units and your Operational IT Security colleagues your responsibilities are:

• Ensure that IT and NRCC technologies are aligned with the overall technology security strategy
• Formulate a prioritized security roadmap that aligns with business objectives, security policies, and risk management frameworks
• Implement and manage security and risk management procedures, and regularly report on identified security threats and vulnerabilities
• Proactively engage in IT and NRCC projects from the earliest stages to ensure secure and risk-aligned outcomes
• Detect, triage, and coordinate responses to security incidents across all IT environments
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations
• Implement and optimize automated security provisioning and management processes across diverse IT solutions and environments
• Define and execute security strategies to safeguard NRCC’s digital infrastructure and sensitive data
• Provide early detection and response to potential breaches, and ensure continuous oversight of technology assets through data-driven monitoring and analysis
• All technology-related work must comply with established quality standards and adhere to contractual, regulatory, and legal requirements

Your work responsibilities and scope of work will develop over time as Nordic RCC develops and as you make your influence. You will work together with the Head of IT Infrastructure & Security to structure the role, so it fits your profile and career development.

Structured, open minded and team oriented

Bachelor’s or master’s degree with a technology focus is preferred. Ideally, you have 5 years or more of relevant work experience. Recent graduates are also welcome to apply.

Nordic RCC is an international office, so fluency in spoken and written English is required as well as a motivation for working in an international environment.

• Knowledge of the energy sector is an advantage but not a prerequisite

  • Ability to recognize challenges early and proactively seek solutions

Our office is situated in the Copenhagen Towers in Ørestad, offering the flexibility to work both on-site and remotely for up to two days each week.
