About Nordic RCC
Nordic RCC is a fast-growing company supporting the national Transmission System Operators (TSOs) of Finland, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. We provide regional power system planning data and security analysis to ensure efficient operation of the Nordic power grid and a high level of security of supply—every hour of every day.
The Role
The Analytics & Information Management team consists of 8 employees and consultants, and plays a central role in enabling data‑driven decision‑making across Nordic RCC. The team develops and maintains analytical products, data pipelines, BI solutions, and information services that support operational, strategic, and regulatory needs.
As a Data Engineer with BI expertise, you will work closely with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to design, build, and maintain high‑quality data pipelines and BI products. You will be developing and optimizing the analytics platform back- and front-end, ensuring data quality, and creating intuitive, user‑friendly reports, dashboards, and data products that support both operational and analytical workflows.
Your work will directly influence how Nordic RCC uses data to improve processes, strengthen decision‑making, and support the green energy transition.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, data models, and integrations that support analytics, reporting, and operational workflows
Develop BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data products that communicate complex information clearly and effectively
Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and domain experts to transform analytical models and insights into production ready data products
Ensure high data quality through validation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of data flows
Work with the Data Architect and platform team to optimize data structures, metadata, and data governance practices
Support the development of intuitive user interfaces for analytics and reporting tools
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines, BI tools, and platform components
Contribute to process improvements and automation opportunities across the analytics landscape
Collaborate with IT operations, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards
Document data flows, BI solutions, and technical components to support transparency and maintainability
Reliable, well maintained data pipelines and data models that ensure high quality, accessible data for analytics and reporting
User friendly BI products, including dashboards, reports, and data products that meet stakeholder needs
Clear, well-structured technical documentation covering data flows, BI solutions, and platform components
Effective cross team collaboration, including timely support for analytics users and contributions to knowledge sharing
Continuous improvement of the analytics platform, BI landscape, and data engineering processes
Key deliveries/outputs
Reliable, well maintained data pipelines and data models that ensure high quality, accessible data for analytics and reporting
User friendly BI products, including dashboards, reports, and data products that meet stakeholder needs
Clear, well-structured technical documentation covering data flows, BI solutions, and platform components
Effective cross team collaboration, including timely support for analytics users and contributions to knowledge sharing
Continuous improvement of the analytics platform, BI landscape, and data engineering processes
Qualifications
We expect you to bring solid experience from similar roles and to demonstrate strong problem‑solving abilities, ownership, and a collaborative mindset. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with diverse roles and personalities, can explain complex topics clearly, and thrives in a dynamic environment with evolving requirements.
Professional qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, BI Developer, or similar role
Strong experience designing and developing ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, and data transformations
Hands-on experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar), including dashboard design and data product development
Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing concepts
Experience with analytics platforms (e.g., Databricks, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, or similar)
Experience developing user-friendly interfaces for data consumption (dashboards, reports, data apps)
Experience operationalizing analytics models or integrating data science outputs into production systems
Experience with cloud environments (Azure preferred)
Knowledge of power systems and the energy sector is a plus, but not a requirement.

Working Environment
You’ll join a diverse and enthusiastic team in our office at Copenhagen Towers, Ørestad. Nordic RCC is home to over 25 nationalities, with a healthy gender balance and a wide range of ages and backgrounds. We offer flexible work arrangements to support a healthy work-life balance, including the option to work from home part of the time. Due to the collaborative nature of our work, physical presence in the office is expected on most days.
You’ll report to the Analytics and Information management team lead and collaborate regularly with colleagues from the Nordic RCC and occasionally also from the Nordic TSOs. Travel is limited and will not exceed 15 days per year.
